Great North Run

Story

This is my very last Great North Run 13.1 miles. In memory of my beautiful grandson Ashton who sadly passed away on 30/4/14, 8 days old in the neonatal unit in Pau hospital in France. Please help me raise this money so it can help all the other tiny babies born so early and the babies that are born very sick. Its unbelievable how hard nurses and doctors work to keep these babies alive. Without their help we wouldn't have had 8 precious days with Ashton.

Post Great North

9th September 2014
Hi Ashton Sunday was very hot. But we did it. My legs are killing, I have 2 toe nails missing but am so proud. You were with me the whole way. 4 Ladies patted me on the back on route wishing me good luck, at that point I could hardly breathe. It was so emotional. Brought everything back, those precious days we had in France. Sending all my love little man xxxxxx

Grandmas 50th birthday

5th September 2014
Well Ashton, Grandma got through the day, and was spoilt rotten. We went to the Bay with your brother to see the war ships. They were amazing, you would have loved them. Nato is on in Newport at the moment so loads of police, helicopters etc as Barack OBama and others are here. Well I was a very lucky girl and all my wonderful friends made a collection for your fund and we have £120 to add to the pot. Tracey, Jess, Rhonda and grandma are flying up to the Great North Run today, we are all nervous but it will be fine. I will let you know on Sunday how it goes. Miss you loads and loads little man xxxxxx
